Perfect Women..... NOT perfect MOLDS

Who said I have to be skinny and less than 130 pounds?  Who said my hair has to be perfectly in place each and every day?  Who said I must remain a size 6 or lower or I am unhealthy?
Hundreds of years ago, weight was a status symbol.  The heavier you were, the more wealth you had… but starting about 80 years ago, society underwent a transformation- a serious transformation.  Now, society tells women we must weigh under 130 pounds, we must not be bigger than a size 6, and if you’re pregnant, you should hide your condition under clothes that could double as a tent.  We must have reasonable sized rear-ends (not too small and not too big), we must have large breasts, and we must have perfect hair and perfect teeth. Of course, you MUST return to normal size within days of delivering a child and you are not allowed to breastfeed your child in public without a blanket on.  Women are expected to work, care for children and the household, all while maintaining perfect bodies….. and not complain.  Our men don’t expect these things from us.  We do.  Women expect this from other women- why?  Men don’t put this pressure on us or on themselves…. But women do.
God created us in his likeness, so we are ALL perfect beings.
Women in high school are criticized by other women for not looking a certain way… but yet we are all different.  I see women every day that are beautiful.  Big or small, busty or apple bottomed… it is neither your weight nor your breast size that makes a woman beautiful.  It is her smile, her eyes, her stance, and her love.  It is her capacity to care and willingness to care.  Every woman has a special trait.  God gave the world, the greatest gift alive… us.
Our children do not love us because we weigh less than 130 pounds or wear a size 6.  Our children love us because of who we are.  Stop allowing yourself to be affected by the “perfect woman” syndrome.  We are all beautiful, we are all strong, and we are all perfect.  No matter your weight, no matter your bra size, no matter your insecurities.  We are all women and we are all God’s children.
